Sylvaris
There's too much tech news and not enough signal. Too many review sites that exist to sell you something, not to help you decide.
Sylvaris is an independent platform built around two simple ideas.
Canopy is a daily feed of AI-summarized tech news, organized by topic. Every story is pulled from sources worth reading, summarized into plain language, and linked back to the original. No hot takes, no filler, no algorithmic outrage. Just the headlines and context that matter to people who work in or around technology.
Folium is where we review the software, tools and services we've actually used. Every recommendation is honest. Where affiliate links exist, they're disclosed — they help keep the lights on without changing what we think.
Both are built and maintained by one person, from Barcelona, with a bit of help from AI and a lot of coffee.
Why Sylvaris?
Most tech media is either chasing clicks or charging enterprise rates for analyst reports. There's a gap in the middle — thoughtful, practical, independent coverage for people who build things, run things, and want to stay informed without drowning.
That's the gap Sylvaris tries to fill.
How Canopy works
Stories are sourced from RSS feeds, community discussions and curated sources across the tech landscape. An AI pipeline summarizes each story and extracts the key points. Every item is reviewed before it goes live. The original source is always linked — the summary is a starting point, not a replacement.
How Folium works
Reviews are written based on real usage. Products get a simple verdict — recommend, neutral, or skip — with the reasoning explained. No star inflation, no sponsored placements.
