Display Issue Affects Estimated Billing Data

Amazon Web Services acknowledged an issue with inaccurate estimated billing data displayed to customers. Multiple users reported seeing dramatically inflated figures, with at least one account showing an estimated bill of $1.7 billion against typical monthly usage.

The issue appears limited to the display of estimated costs rather than actual charges. AWS published a health status update confirming the problem.
